Trash Collection & Recycling

In Indianola, we offer trash collection only, not recycling service. In Milo, Lacona and Spring Hill, we offer both. Recycling collection is done the same day as trash collection. Email or call us at 515-962-2014 for questions, more information or to begin service.

35 Gallon or 95 Gallon Carts

You have your choice of either size cart, picked up at the curb weekly. See our Service Areas page for Indianola map of collection days. House service is offered for an additional fee.

The TRM Disposal blue cart is standard for all locations. In Indianola, if you would like to make a one time contribution to the Indianola Athletic Boosters or American Cancer Society, let us know when you begin service with us, and we will provide you with the appropriate cart.

Accepted Disposal Items: Regular household trash, not to include hazardous materials, paint, large batteries, tires, appliances, televisions or yard waste. We do offer special appliance or large item pickup by request. Call us at 515-962-2014 for rates and scheduling.

We offer trash services for all of our rural clients. TRM Disposal offers a drop off location for recycling (click to view accepted items) during their business hours, Monday thru Friday at 901 S Jefferson Way, Indianola.  Customers are required to check in at the office at the time of drop off.  There is a small charge for drop off service and will be collected at the time of drop off.

Carts versus Dumpsters

Depending on your volume of trash, you have the option of using a dumpster, 95 gallon or 35 gallon cart. We will determine this with you before service begins.
